Maytag refrigerator handle loose

I have a side-by-side refrigerator model PSD262LHEZ and the door handles are loose. From what little I can find, the handles come up, but you have to disengage clips first with a special card. I’ve tried a few things, but I can’t see how the clips are working so I can take them off.

Any tips on how to get the handles off?
