Will this filter impede air flow?

I recently had air returns added to all my rooms and the company installed registers that take 10x10x1 filters. As no nearby stores carry that size, I ordered them online and below is what showed up. I’ve never had a filter with carboard criss crossing like that. Will that negatively impede airflow or is it ok? These were MERV 13 filters and not cheap, so I want to make sure I’m not using something that will impact me negatively. Thank you!
